Position Summary

SUMMARY:  As Information Technology Analyst I, you will have a central role in supporting users in all departments of the company on various technology platforms. Responsibilities encompass a wide spectrum of tasks, such as providing support for Windows systems, networking, responding to tickets from the company ticketing system and more.

Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provide technical and administrative support for Company networks.
  2. Provide Tier 1 & 2 Help Desk Support for Network and Computer Systems
  3. Assist with backup of data administration for assigned systems.
  4. Provide secondary technical and administrative support of Meter Reading software.
  5. Assist in the planning, design, development, of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  6. Assist with new user orientation and equipment deployments.
  7. As needed, meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and system goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.
  8. Handle all proprietary information in a confidential manner.
  9. Assist with the regular maintenance of updates for servers and computers.
  10. Prepare requisitions for the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment subject to required approvals and procedures.
  11. Maintain security of department equipment and Company files/information.
  12. Participate in a rotating on call schedule with department members.
  13. Consistently demonstrate responsiveness, positive, and professional behavior with all individuals contacted on behalf of the Company including employees

Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience related to Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity. 1 year of relevant experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts and technical procedures.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient use standard office equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products.
  • Experience in network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with firewall configuration and management.
  • Efficiently and accurately use copier, telephone, various computers, peripheral computer equipment and other standard office equipment

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Possess a valid PA driver’s license.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

Physical Demands

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee must be able to work under stress and work additional hours to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Required to sit, stand, and walk; regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and ascend and descend stairs.
  • Required to reach with hands and arms and push items overhead.
  • Regularly lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Required to talk, hear, and see. Vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to differentiate between colors.
  • Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers, including keystrokes on computer keyboard and calculator.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The position primarily works in an office environment, seated at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent and ongoing interaction with employees.
  • Travel between company facilities may be necessary.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
