To meet the future needs of York Water customers, we have invested in rebuilding and enhancing the Lake Williams Dam structure with state-of-the-art engineering technology. This work is an investment that will meet the needs of our community and our customers for the next 100-plus years.

The 67-year-old Water Street bridge, piers, and bascule gates have been removed, and site preparation is underway for demolition of the dam’s spillway. Demolition of the spillway is scheduled to be completed by the middle of July 2022.
