National Pennsylvania Day
Each year on June 20, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is honored with National Pennsylvania Day. Pennsylvania was founded in 1787 and just 29 years later The York Water Company was formed to offer fire protection for the 2,096 residents and businesses in what is now the City of York (formerly Yorktowne). Today we proudly provide water and wastewater services to over 210,000 people across Adams, Franklin, Lancaster, and York counties. And this July we very proudly reflect on the significance of Pennsylvania and our local ancestors in American history.
