The York Water Company acquires Longstown Mobile Estates Community Water System
JT Hand, President & CEO of The York Water Company (NASDAQ: YORW), announced today that York Water has closed on the acquisition of the water system assets within the Longstown Mobile Estates Community, located in Windsor Township, York County, Pennsylvania. This is the second acquisition York Water has closed in 2024 and will add 90 water customers to the growing water and wastewater portfolio of The York Water Company.
York Water looks forward to providing our exceptional value and a customer service team that is available around the clock to the residents of this community.
President Hand stated, “York Water is excited to welcome the residents of Longstown Mobile Estates. We recognize the challenges small water and wastewater system operators are experiencing with more stringent regulations, chemicals, operations, and maintenance costs. With the sale of the water system, the community’s owners can focus their resources on owning and operating a first-class community while York Water’s utility professionals bring our expertise and resources to providing safe and reliable water service to our newest customers.”
The York Water Company is honored to provide water and wastewater services to over 210,000 people in 56 communities and visitors in Adams, Franklin, York, and Lancaster counties.
